Meta’s ‘Creators Of Tomorrow’ Highlights Emerging Digital Artists

We have to give our credit where it is due, and now it is time to give a hearty pat on Meta’s back. Lately, the platform truly upped its game for providing a better-working and more conscious platform for its creators, and their latest ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ project solidifies the point.

Of course, all of these efforts are made to attract and keep audiences, but nevertheless, they are really trying to make the creators’ work easier and more lucrative.

So, their latest development on the front is the ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ showcase, through which Meta will highlight emerging digital artists from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. More about the project in Meta’s own words:

The Creators of Tomorrow have exciting careers ahead of them. They have been selected because they’re breaking out amongst their communities online and showcase a best-in-class approach to video formats, technology, and interactive entertainment – creative qualities we believe will be integral to the evolution of the metaverse.

Meta promises to help these creators expand their audiences over the coming year “and turn their passions into professions across our technologies.”

You can check the selected creators on the Creators of Tomorrow site, along with examples of their work. As you’ll see, it’s an interesting jumble of various trends emerging on the platform, loads of original thoughts, and some truly quality content. Checking it might even give you some cool insights on what to expect on the platform in the coming months.

Either way, ‘Creators of Tomorrow’ is a pretty cool initiative, and we are looking forward to seeing how it goes in real life.

Twitter Adds WhatsApp and LinkedIn Sharing Buttons

Twitter is looking for new ways to facilitate broader tweet engagement, this time by adding WhatsApp and LinkedIn sharing buttons.

Now, you might be wondering why WhatsApp, exactly. Well, the sharing button was introduced in India, and there this messaging app is by far the most popular (just a bit more than 487 million users), so it definitely makes sense to make sharing to it direct. The WhatsApp share button can be seen in the photo as a part of the tweet function display.

However, the functionality of the button isn’t all smooth sailing as of yet, but Twitter has promised to figure it out soon:

Starting today, we are rolling out a new experiment exclusively in India – an important market for us. We are replacing the share icon on Tweets with the WhatsApp icon for the majority of people who use Twitter on Android in the country, so sharing their favorite or noteworthy Tweets is easy even beyond Twitter, making the experience more open, accessible, and holistic for them.”

Besides the WhatsApp button, Twitter has also enabled sharing to Snapchat and IG Stories on Android, which was previously only available on iOS. And since they were already tweaking the functionality, they’ve also added the LinkedIn sharing option.

Why is this important? For starters, this functionality makes it easier for users to share tweets on all of their social media accounts while at the same time allowing Twitter to keep tabs on such activity. In addition, it is still really popular among people to share screenshots of tweets that can’t be attributed back to the platform itself.

In fact, Twitter is convinced that millions of people are engaging with tweets each month without ever logging in to the app. So that’s why Twitter is creating all the possible ways for the users to actually share the links to the tweets and the platform itself – to harness that lurking potential of loads of new users.

TikTok’s New Programming And Creative Effects For Fashion Month

This year’s Fashion Month on TikTok might be just the most exciting yet, as the platform has already announced new digital effects, live streaming programming, and a creator showcase dedicated to it. And it’s all in their official statement

This season, Fashion Month is centered on #FashionForYou, an all-encompassing celebration of personal style, self-expression, and inclusivity. Whether you’re at the runways in Paris or strutting down your hallway at home, this hashtag encourages our entire community to be part of the fashion conversation no matter where they are.

So, over this month up until October 14th, TikTok is going to showcase a wide range of fashion influencers, designers, and style icons via their #FashionForYou hashtag. Besides this fun feat, they will also be hosting live sessions with various fashion identities and publications, like Paper Magazine, WhoWhatWear, and Julia Fox, to name a few.

And, of course, there are new and exciting creative effects, a.k.a. Filters from Fenty Beauty, Glamour Uk, and more.

So, if your work sector is all about beauty and fashion, you might not want to miss TikTok’s Fashion Month. It’s definitely the place to get your latest and hottest on fashion while also learning how style icons use the platform creatively and efficiently.

Google’s ‘Search On 2022’ Search Insights Event

You might remember the big changes that Google did to its search algorithms lately. Yup, that’s why you are probably experiencing some weird fluctuations in your site’s traffic right now. If that’s the case, it might not be such a bad idea to tune into Google’s ‘Search on 2022’ event, which will outline the latest developments in Search.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at 10 am PT/1 pm ET and will include a range of Google Search experts discussing the latest advances and updates of the engine.

Presumably, you’ll get all the info needed to adapt your website to the newest changes in the algorithms, so tuning in might give you valuable insights on how to actually do it.

Although Google’s own description of the event is a bit more cryptic:

During the event, you’ll hear about how Google is reimagining its core information products to help people make sense of the world in more natural and intuitive ways.

But we’ll see what it is truly all about once we tune in on the event on September 28th, right?

So, that’s it for this week – thank you for reading, and until next Tuesday!
